- Dry white (Garganega-based)
Grapes of Soave
Veneto's classic dry white, built on Garganega grown over volcanic and limestone hills east of Verona.
Soave is centered on the Garganega grape, grown in the hills east of Verona. At its best — particularly from the original Classico zone's volcanic slopes — it offers a distinctive profile of white flowers, ripe pear, almond, and a saline, mineral finish.
Long dismissed for the flood of thin, industrial versions grown on the fertile plains, Soave's hillside vineyards have driven a quality revival, showing that Garganega can produce whites of real texture and aging potential.
Production is recorded by region, not by appellation.
