Wines of Ukraine

Wine production in Ukraine has a long history, with Greek colonies producing wine along the Black Sea coast as early as the 4th century BCE. The Crimean Peninsula and southern regions have been traditional centers of viticulture, with the industry expanding during the Russian Empire and Soviet periods. Ukraine is known for sparkling wines, Odessa Black, and dessert wines from regions including Odessa, Kherson, and Zakarpattia.
