Wines of Thailand

Wine production in Thailand is a modern phenomenon, beginning in the 1990s with pioneering vineyards established in the central highlands and northeastern regions. The tropical climate presented significant viticultural challenges that were overcome through innovative techniques such as double pruning. Thailand produces wines from Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Colombard, and the local Malaga Blanc, with the Khao Yai region as the primary wine area.
