Wines of Serbia

Wine production in Serbia has roots going back to Roman times and has been an important part of the country's agricultural tradition for centuries. The industry declined during the Ottoman period and later under communist rule but has experienced a revival since the 2000s. Serbia is known for its indigenous Prokupac grape and international varieties, with key regions including Šumadija, Župa, and Fruška Gora.
